2019 Artist in Residence

February 25 - March 15

St. Louis Classical Guitar’s In-School Residencies bring dynamic and engaging performances to school audiences throughout St. Louis each year.

The 2019 In-School Residencies feature internationally acclaimed Flamenco guitarist, Ronald Radford. Ronald Radford brings to students the passion and inspiration of his Flamenco Guitar program from a lifetime of immersion in the Gypsy music & culture of Southern Spain. His school program titled ““The Power of Practice: How to be the best you can be!” demonstrates how the power of practice enables you to achieve your goals and dreams.

During this 45 minute presentation of haunting Spanish Gypsy melodies and dazzling Flamenco techniques, Ron shares his personal story that when you set goals, work hard and never give up, your possibilities are unlimited. This program contributes to the areas of Cultural understanding, Language, Music, Motivation and Character Education.

In this tour, Ron brings an even higher level of excellence, new music, and new stories from his European Summer concert tour in Paris, Berlin, Lausanne and 10 other cities in six countries. SLCG and Ron would love to include you in our 2019 In-School Residencies - at no cost to your school!

Limited financial assistance is available. For more information about this program, please contact (314) 567-5566 or email info@stlclassicalguitar.org.

Having the ability to present Ron’s program to our youth in TPS is integral to both their educational and social wellbeing. The response was so great from Principals who were hungry for this sort of opportunity that I had to compile a waiting list! As an advocate for arts education, programs such as these, make my mission easier.
